The E1RL model is unique in the range in that it has two measurement ranges:
In 1C mode the lowest measurable temperature is 550° Celsius.
In 2C mode the lowest measurable temperature is 600° Celsius.
This sensor model is shipped with mA output scaling of 600 to1800° Celsius.
One must consider the sensor measurement range and the mA output range separately as all Endurance models can have mA scaling set to a range outside the measurement range. This provides for maximum compatibility with legacy control systems where the input is not possible to adjust (for any reason).
The table below provides two examples of how the output can be defined and the resultant behavior
Special Note:
Where the table has 2.5mA, this value can be set via DTMD to 4mA as per the requirement of the control system. This can be especially useful when replacing 2-wire sensors. It is also necessary, if the control system would register a damaged cable alarm with 2.5mA.
