RIFT

RIFT stands for 'Right Install First Time' and is used to setup your Irisys devices at time of installation, and subsequently when other settings changes are required.

An IP enabled device such as Vector 4D will have an onboard version of the RIFT setup software which is accessible simply by entering the IP address of the device into a web browser. See Making a setup connection to Vectors section for more details.

For configuration of older Irisys devices and for configuring of Vectors using non-default port configuration, an installable RIFT exe version is available.

It allows configuration of the counting lines to the unique requirements of the site. This is the latest version of the set-up software, which is used for on-site, direct connection, between PC and counter.

The RIFT software is also required for updating the firmware of Vector devices locally.
For configuration using a serial connection, of older Gazelle and 3000 series devices, the installed version of the RIFT must be used.

RIFT is a Windows only compatible piece of software. More details here.
