Estate Manager Daily Usage
Estate Manager is an enterprise management tool intended to allow remote management of a (large) estate of Irisys devices. It is strongly recommended that Estate Manager users get into the habit of logging into the website at least once a day in order to ensure things haven't changed and devices aren't currently offline or in error for long periods of time.
It is always better to detect and fix any issues with devices before the end customer even realises there has been a problem.
It should be noted that Estate Manager can be accessed via a mobile device for when you're out of the office.
Things to look for
When you first logon to the Estate Manager website you'll see a similar view to the below. The main things to look at are highlighted in red:
Items of note:
- The main Device Health section gives you a quick view of the whole estate of devices, in a simple to read green, orange, red format.
- Any devices that have associated Location details stored will be shown on the map with associated red, orange, green status.
- Any address book groups containing units in error will have a red or orange circle next to them, with a number indicating how many devices are affected.
- The Device status icons in the bottom left of the screen will show how many devices are connected and disconnected, as well as how many devices are in the 'in warning' or 'in error' categories. Also any orphaned devices (devices which don't filter into one of the configured address book groups) are shown, as well as the number of new devices in the last 24 hours.
