However, when you ping the server you get no response. This is because the server gets discovered via the other port and the Auto-IP address from windows 169.254....
In this case you need to either physically swap the RJ45 connector to the other port on the serial server, or change 129.254.29.53 to 192.168.42.10 after changing 192.168.42.10 to .11.
