OPC UA offers the ability to read and write many variables and parameters
Process values (from Areas Of Interest) and Alarms (Conditions) are available to all compatible control systems conforming to the OPC UA standard. OPC UA as opposed to DA provides an elegant solution for server - to - server connection without necessitating the use of "middleware" (OPC bridge running on a separate pc for example).
Additional to process variables and alarm tags, OPC UA can be used to adjust focus position, trigger the non-uniformity correction shutter and to read device status parameters
