Warning Device Logs Have Been Reset
"Device diagnostics/count/histogram logs has been reset. Estate Manager will be out of sync with the device until old device data is removed from the database"
Type: This is a 'Warning' message (Orange highlight).
Source: This originates from Estate Manager.
Symptoms: Device will be operational but some data will not be available in Estate Manager (as per message contents - either/or; Diagnostics Log, Count Logs, Histogram Log). Data will be correct on device, but Estate Manager is not able to retrieve new data.
Cause: This error can occur if the SD card in a Vector is replaced or re-imaged. This process will reset the count log index to zero. Essentially the count log index on the device is out of sync with the index in Estate Manager and so new data cannot be retrieved.
Fix: To fix this issue, select the Delete Device Data option from the units 'Actions' menu:
Then choose the appropriate tick boxes for the warnings you have and click the 'Save' button:
Note this option deletes data from Estate Managers database, and not from the device itself.
Note also that this option once selected is 'queued'. Instead of removing all the data in one go - and possibly causing slow down to the whole system - data is deleted in smaller chunks. Therefore, expect this to take at least a few hours in most cases.
Lastly, to ensure that any old data from the Vector is correctly pulled into the EM db., once there is space, it is strongly recommended that the Options for culling of data is increased to ensure that data isn't immediately deleted as it is pulled. This will be required if data hasn't been pulled for a very long time, or the Vectors onboard date and time were never set correctly. Just go into Estate Manager 'Settings', then 'Options', and change the 'Keep data' setting to 'Forever'. Once data has been correctly harvested from the device and is available in the db, remember to change this option back to its original setting.
