Installation Notes

If you want to have your own installation of Estate Manager which is not managed by Irisys, these are the instructions you’re looking for.

For updating an existing installation see separate guide, here. The instructions below are for first time installs only.

Make sure that your server meets the minimum specs required to install/run Estate Manager.
Do NOT blindly run the Estate Manager installer. You must follow the instructions below, or the installation will fail.

Before proceeding, if you have any other software on the server that you want to install Estate Manager on to, be advised that there may be issues with Estate Manager or the other software following the installation.

It is strongly recommended that Estate Manager runs on its own dedicated server. Note that Irisys will not be able to assist with issues arising from having additional software running on the EM server.
Estate Manager supports a failover installation utilising multiple servers. If you want to make use of this option, speak to Irisys first to ensure that additional pre-requisites required are understood.

Pre-requisites

Before you start an installation, make sure you have the required installation files downloaded from the Irisys partner portal and available for use on the server (not on a network share).

You will also need to know the user details that the services will run under, as well as the details of the Database server where the Estate Manager Database is located, plus the admin user account details for that server. Be sure to have this information before proceeding.

Lastly, don’t forget that Estate Manager is licensed software and requires a license key to operate. Ensure that you have ordered you license key in time for your installation date. Once installed you can apply your license key to fully enable Estate Manager.
