Introduction

The below Excel spreadsheet calculator has been compiled to assist partners with specification and installation of Irisys Vector devices.

It is intended to be used by both site surveyors and the installation team to ensure that entrances and exits are fully covered and accuracy is maintained.

Instructions for Use

The spreadsheet is in Excel *.xlsm format so make sure that you have Microsoft Office, or you have an Excel compatible spreadsheet viewer installed.

The spreadsheet also requires Macros to be enabled.

The spreadsheet consists of a number of different sheets, each one selectable by clicking the tab at the bottom. Simply select the required calculator from the ones available (in green).

On each tab you can enter details in any commonly used measurement unit, just select from the drop down at the very top. You can choose from, mm, cm, m, feet and inches.

All results will automatically update and display. If you have entered the details but get blank results, check what unit of measurement the calculator is set to, and also verify that any mounting heights are within range of the detector type you have selected.

If a cell highlights in red then that indicates an incorrect entry, height is above maximum height, for example.

Each tab has a basic device field of view graph included, this will auto size, but due to restrictions in Excel it could lose it's scale on occasion. Please manually resize as required so that X and Y scales are the same.

Each Tab has a Help button you can click for specific help with that calculator.
