SD Card Image Files

Latest version of SD Card Image Files are always available here, see links below.

Note that these are for imaging of the SD card in a laptop for when the SD card has become corrupt and the device fails to boot up correctly (indicated by two solid Green LEDs on device, see here).

If you simply want to update the firmware of the Vector go here.

If you have a device that has a failed SD card and you want to replace with a new SD card, the card must first be imaged using the download links provided here. Full instructions are included within the zip file.

Instructions

Instructions are included in the above zip file links, but are repeated here for clarity...

You will need a Windows laptop with a micro sd card reader. This can be a built in reader or a USB attached reader, it doesn't matter. SD card to micro SD card adapters can also be used, if required.

Performing a full image takes approximately 10 minutes.

1. Download the required SD card image file from the above links.
2. Extract all the files from the zip file and then double click the included 'Win32diskimager.exe' program to install it.
3. Power off the Vector and take the SD card out if you want to re-image, or get a new card.
4. Insert the SD card in your laptops card reader.
5. Open Win32 Disk imager, select the Vector image, and the correct SD card.

6. Then click ‘Write’
7. When complete, make sure the Vector is powered off first, and then the card can be re-inserted.

If the image write fails with an error, then the SD card will need to be replaced.
