Introduction

It should be noted that Gazelle devices are legacy products and firmware is made available here as an convenience for existing partners.

It should also be noted that because Gazelles use old web technology and code, security may be a concern in certain applications, either now or in the future.

Note that Irisys will not be producing updates in the future if vulnerabilities are discovered. Instead the below firmware update that removes the onboard web setup functionality should be used instead.

Firmware Update Instructions

To update firmware in a Gazelle requires a RIFT exe or Estate Manager connection. Just select the Task launcher option in the Actions menu and follow the instructions to upload the firmware into RIFT and then send it up to the Gazelle.

Firmware Update

Two updates are available. Both are identical (version 592), except that one removes the onboard web setup functionality, and one does not.

IMPORTANT - If you remove the onboard web package, you cannot put it back later - only proceed if you are absolutely sure you want to do this (Recommended for future proofing against possible security threats).
If you remove the onboard web setup, you must use the RIFT exe software (or an Estate Manager connection) for any future settings changes that may be required.
