Introduction

This quick guide discusses the Video settings available on Vector devices.

These options relate to Validation Recording files that you can produce in order to prove the accuracy of your Vector 4D device.

In order to access these settings, you must first make an initial connection to the Vector unit; see separate guide: Irisys Vector 4D - Making a Setup Connection.

Video Settings

Once you are connected to your Vector, the Video settings are accessed via the ‘Settings’ tab, then ‘Video’:

Note the help text shown on the right of this tab, if required.

If connected to a Vector via an Estate Manager connection, make sure you select the ‘Live View’ option to make changes.

Video Settings

Here you can specify the Frame Rate which will be used when recording validation sessions.

The higher the frame rate the larger the file size of the resultant recording.

Video Storage

This is the capacity of the SD card in the Vector and how much is left for storage of Validation recordings. Always ensure that you have adequate space on the card when scheduling recordings.

You can replace the supplied SD card with a higher capacity card if required (max 64GB), but it must be Formatted on device using the provided ‘Format’ button, before it can be used.

Formatting an SD card will erase everything on the card.

Saving

Before navigating away from the device, click the ‘Save’ button to complete any changes.
