For demonstration or test purposes for devices with a web browser interface it is often desirable to have a portable, wireless option.
This concept works equally well with TV30-SA.
Using a pc, this will also work with any ethernet pyrometer (with PoE connection) and potentially TV30-GE, TV40 and MP linescanner (not PoE). Mi3 ethernet can also work as the COMM box can be powered by the USB port.
Using a UPS PoE adapter and a travel wireless router provides a solution that will allow connection via:
Tablet (wireless)
PC/Laptop (wireless)
PC/Laptop (wired)
Special Note - It is possible to use a tablet with a USB-C ethernet adapter (OTG USB port necessary and suitable drivers)
Recommended Router Setup
Define IP range in router for maximum of 3 devices -192.168.42.100, 101 and 102 (2 field devices and one pc)
Define Router IP as 192.168.42.1
Using this scheme ensures that devices set to Auto/DHCP have a known IP address (choice of 2) and that any other devices with default fixed FPI addresses will also be visible (192.168.42.132 etc
Special Note - Using a tablet it is not possible to use the .local URL (serial number). You must know the IP address assigned by the router's DHCP server or use a fixed IP address
Test Setup
