ThermoView software provides outputs in various of various types - "Wago I/O", Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, IEC 61850.
Wago is not a type rather a brand of I/O hardware from Germany.
The TCA software version of the software includes all ouptut types and is necessary to choose if Modbus TCP is needed.
The Modbus TCP version exists but is not yet activated in our ordering system.
In a singe running instance of the software any or all of the output types can be utilized.
Utilizing >1 output type (of the available types) has never been thoroughly tested due to lack of demand
It is not possible to select each type more than once
Potential Use Case:
A customer may choose Wago plus one FieldNet protocol - Wago I/O for process control reasons such as an analog output based on ab AOI result, connected to a PID controller, or digital or relay outputs connecting to some kind of other on/off control system likely where a PLC is not involved. We would then imagine the FieldNet option would be used connected to some kind of "historian" system.
In a system running a single instance of the software the software and all output options should be considered separately from the camera or cameras used.
In such a system all camera streams are incorporated into a single screen view setup in the software under tab Automation Mode - Image Composition:
Screen View
Here, the two camera feeds are treated as a single view, with AOIs overlaid where necessary.
In this example - we have selected EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP for the outputs.
The Mapping of the Measurement Outputs offers both output types over multiple registers
The Mapping of the Alarms and Signal offers both output types over multiple registers
All outputs are available to represent all AOIs within the "Image Composition"
This means that that it is possible to have multiple cameras effectively controlling multiple I/O channels of any available type
For the Wago I/O hardware it is useful to distinguish between the terms "coupler" and " modules"
Various output modules or cards can connect to a single coupler:
It is only possible to connect a single coupler to one running instance of the software but it is possible to connect multiple modules or cards to the coupler
This allows any combination of analog, digital input, digital output or relay modules to be used in a multiple camera system with a single instance of the running software
Special note:
It is not possible to select a give output type more than once.
ThermoView software offers multiple output options:
All can be selected as long as the pc has sufficient ethernet ports.
However, you can only select one of each type per running instance of the software:
Special Note:
It is possible to run multiple instances of the software, each with a dedicated camera feed.
You can select 2 instances to start each time via Autostart
