Mi3, Endurance  or other RS485 2-wire device

Special Note

The jumper settings and dip switch settings as detailed in the EasySync manual cannot be used - RS485 (half-duplex)

We tested the converter with an Endurance and found the following configuration works

Other DIP Switch configurations do not

It is also how the converter was set "out of the box"

DIP Switches - SW1 On (in the manual this is like RS485 (Full Duplex) from the EasySync manual

Internal jumpers  - all off - (still works with 5-6 connected, 1st green jumper from right hand side, but seems not necessary, possibly useful if there is no field termination resistor in device). See bottom of page for further information

The adapter and subsequent COM port installed automatically without the need  for any further utility or drive pack from FTDi.

PC info used for testing - W11 remains an unknown for this FTDi chipset

Sensor Setting - Internal Termination Resistor  = ON (also worked set to OFF, but only short cable used)

Example of Endurance Connection

A (black)  on Terminal Board connects to Data + Terminal 2 on EasySync Adapter

B (white) on Terminal Board connects to Data - Terminal 1 on EasySync Adapter
