Q. If the specific Ircon linescanner spare windows are not available what can I order?

A. You can order the Raytek TMP150 or FPI MP scanner windows as they are of the same design  See Article

Q. Can we use the MP150/ScanIR3 protocol manual to develop a program using Visual Studio.Net (C#)?

A. For the development of software via protocol manual, any development environment can be used for developing an interface and working with the stream. We are using Visual Studio.net(C#) in manufacturing calibration software.

Q. Can we OPC directly via Scanner Head?

A.  The scanner doesn’t have built-in OPC in the head. Our OPC comes via DTDP and other software we use. Our software is OPC-Server and the user needs to be an OPC-Client.

Q. The analog output signal does not match the calculated sector or zone values, or the control system reading does not match the calculated sector or  zone values.

A. Check that the PLC input scaling matches the output scaling in the DTDP configuration. Alternatively, check that each Wago analog output card is set appropriately (should be 4-20mA) but could be set to 0-20mA. Wago 750-563 analog output modules are configurable for 0-20mA or 4-20mA and should have been set at the factory (if the customer purchased from us). https://fluke.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/19000122156-faq

Q. In Zonemaster, how to do I connect the trigger input

A. On the X3 DIN terminal rail, connect you trigger signal (5-24V) to pins 13 (red for +ve ) and 14 (pink for -ve).

Q. On the X3 DIN terminal rail, I can see a relay output. How to program the relay for internal temperature alarm.

A. You need to add special commands in the configurator, please see this How To page for a downloadable procedure Link

Q. Is it possible to use existing ScanIR2 cable with ScanIR3 scanner?

A. Existing ScanIR2 cable and the ScanIR3 connection point are not able to be coupled.

Also, there is not an adapter option available to mate existing ScanIR2 cable with ScanIR3 cable.

Q. What does the scanner display if the target temp exceeds the range of the scanner?

A. The scanner software does not display any notification if the temperature range of the target exceeds the upper or lower temperature range of the scanner. Only the min/max scanner-capable temperature will be displayed and only the min 0mA/max 20mA analog signal will be outputted.

Q. Are there any concerns with mounting the scanner to obtain a vertical scan line vs a horizontal scan line?

A. No concerns regarding short-term or long-term operational or performance impacts.
