We heard from the field that Siemens offers a functionality to save .pdf files to a database via the PLC for calling up via a web browser.
Our software creates snapshot files in .bin (dtdp only), .txt, .tiff and .jpeg. These formats are not compatible and need to be converted automatically to pdf to be useable.
It is not possible to add this function in the dtdp platform due to the file format being unavailable in the development library.
We have tested software called FolderMill and found it to be effective.
You have to define a so-called hot folder that is watched and incoming files are converted to .pdf format and transferred to a different folder.
The demo version adds a small watermark to the final document.
